Dr. Pratik Shah is a board-certified endocrinologist dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based care to patients across the full spectrum of endocrine disorders. He earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, completed his Internal Medicine residency at Cooper University Hospital, and went on to complete fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Shah believes that exceptional medical care involves a patient-centered approach beginning with listening to patients to build lasting relationships. Known for his approachable and easygoing style, he takes pride in helping teach patients so they fully understand their diagnoses and treatment options and feel informed, empowered, and confident in their care. He specializes in the management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, PCOS, and disorders involving the parathyroid, pituitary, and adrenal glands. Dr. Shah has particular expertise and interest in thyroid disorders, including thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer, and performs and interprets thyroid ultrasounds as well as ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration biopsies. He is also passionate about helping patients optimize diabetes care through modern therapies and advanced technologies, including continuous glucose monitors and insulin pump systems. Outside of medicine, Dr. Shah enjoys traveling, spending quality time with family and friends, cooking and exploring global vegetarian cuisine, and watching and playing sports.
